Avana 100 mg, which contains avanafil, is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor used to treat erectile dysfunction. While it is generally safe when taken as prescribed, it may in rare cases affect eyesight. Some men may experience mild visual disturbances such as blurred vision, increased sensitivity to light, or a bluish/greenish tinge to vision. Avana 100 mg effects usually occur because PDE5 inhibitors can influence enzymes in the retina that are involved in color perception. Though uncommon, more serious issues such as sudden vision loss due to non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) have been reported. If you notice sudden vision changes, eye pain, or vision loss after taking Avana 100 mg, you should stop using it immediately and seek urgent medical attention. People with pre-existing eye conditions, such as retinitis pigmentosa or a history of NAION, should consult a doctor before using this medication.
