Five Nights at Freddy's 2 (often abbreviated as fnaf 2) is a survival horror game developed by Scott Cawthon, and it is the second installment in the Five Nights at Freddy's series. It was released on November 10, 2014, just a few months after the original game.
?? Gameplay Overview:
In FNaF 2, you play as a nighttime security guard named Jeremy Fitzgerald working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a children's restaurant with animatronic entertainers. Your job is to survive five (or more) nights from 12 AM to 6 AM while keeping the animatronics from entering your security office and attacking you.
??? Key Differences from FNaF 1:
No Doors: Unlike the first game, you don’t have doors to block the animatronics. Instead, you must use a Freddy Fazbear mask to fool most of them.
Music Box: You must constantly wind up a music box via the camera system to keep a puppet-like animatronic called The Puppet (or Marionette) at bay.
More Animatronics: FNaF 2 features a larger cast, including Toy Animatronics, Withered Animatronics, The Puppet, and Balloon Boy (BB).
Camera System: You monitor the building through a network of security cameras. The animatronics move when you’re not watching them.

Toy Animatronics: Toy Freddy, Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, Mangle
Withered Animatronics: Older, broken versions from the first game—Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and Golden Freddy
Others: Balloon Boy (disables your flashlight), The Puppet (requires music box)

Use the Freddy mask quickly when an animatronic enters your office.
Constantly check and wind the music box to avoid The Puppet attacking.
Use the flashlight sparingly to check dark hallways and scare off Foxy.
Listen for audio cues—some animatronics give subtle sound warnings.
?? Lore and Story:
FNaF 2 is a prequel to the first game. It provides more backstory about the dark events at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, including the Missing Children Incident and hints about the Purple Guy, a serial killer tied to the haunted animatronics. The game deepens the series' mystery and introduces the idea of haunted souls inside the animatronic suits.

Custom Night: Unlocks after Night 6; lets you customize the AI difficulty of each animatronic.
Minigames: Pixelated, hidden games that reveal lore when triggered after certain deaths.
