Filitra is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men and contains Vardenafil as its active ingredient. Vardenafil is a PDE5 inhibitor that increases blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, helping men achieve and maintain an erection. However, for Filitra to work effectively, timing is crucial.
Filitra should be taken approximately 30 to 60 minutes before planned sexual activity. This allows the drug to be properly absorbed into the bloodstream and reach peak effectiveness. Taking it too early or too late may reduce its efficacy. Once taken, the effects of Filitra can last for up to 4–5 hours, offering a window of opportunity for sexual activity—but it does not cause an erection on its own; sexual stimulation is still required.
Eating a heavy or high-fat meal before taking FILITRA may delay its absorption and reduce effectiveness. Therefore, it’s best to take it on an empty stomach or after a light meal.
Proper timing ensures that the drug reaches its full potential when needed, improving sexual performance and satisfaction. Always follow your doctor’s instructions and avoid taking more than one dose in a 24-hour period.
