Zudena 100 mg contains Udenafil, a medication primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. Udenafil is a PDE5 inhibitor (phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor), similar to other ED medications like Viagra (Sildenafil) and Cialis (Tadalafil). It works by increasing blood flow to the penis, helping men achieve and maintain an erection when sexually aroused. While Zudena 100 mg is effective for most men, it is not suitable for everyone. Here are key factors to consider regarding why it might not be the right choice for some individuals: Zudena 100 Mg Heart Disease: Like other PDE5 inhibitors, Udenafil (in Zudena) can lower blood pressure. If you have heart disease, low blood pressure, or have recently suffered a heart attack, stroke, or arrhythmia (irregular heartbeats), Zudena may not be safe for you. Its ability to lower blood pressure could worsen existing heart conditions. Nitrate Medications: Zudena 100 mg should never be taken in combination with nitrate medications (such as nitroglycerin for chest pain). When taken together, the combination of Udenafil and nitrates can cause a severe drop in blood pressure, which can be life-threatening. 2. Liver and Kidney Issues: Liver Disease: Zudena is metabolized in the liver. If you have severe liver disease (e.g., cirrhosis), your liver may not process the drug properly, which could lead to increased drug levels in the blood and a higher risk of side effects. Kidney Disease: Severe kidney dysfunction may also require dose adjustments or alternative treatments, as Udenafil is cleared from the body by the kidneys. Impaired kidney function could result in the drug building up in your system, increasing the risk of side effects. 3. Eye or Vision Issues: Vision Changes: Like other PDE5 inhibitors, Udenafil can cause temporary vision changes in some individuals. This may include blurred vision, sensitivity to light, or difficulty distinguishing between certain colors (especially blue and green). NAION (Non-Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy): There is a very rare but serious risk of sudden vision loss in one or both eyes, which is associated with PDE5 inhibitors. If you experience any sudden vision changes, you should stop using Zudena and seek medical help immediately. 4. Priapism (Prolonged Erection): Priapism is a painful and prolonged erection lasting longer than 4 hours. If left untreated, priapism can lead to permanent damage to the penis. Men with conditions like sickle cell anemia, leukemia, or multiple myeloma (which affect blood flow) may have a higher risk of developing priapism and should avoid using Zudena or use it with extreme caution.
