Vilitra (which contains vardenafil, used to treat erectile dysfunction) can cause diarrhea, although it is not one of the most common side effects.

Diarrhea is considered a less frequent but possible side effect of Vilitra. Like other PDE5 inhibitors, VILITRA may affect the digestive system by relaxing smooth muscle tissue—not just in the blood vessels but also in the gastrointestinal tract.

If the diarrhea is mild and temporary, it may resolve on its own. However, if it becomes severe, persistent, or is accompanied by other symptoms like dehydration, abdominal pain, or dizziness, it's important to consult a healthcare provider promptly.

To minimize gastrointestinal side effects, try taking Vilitra with food (but not a heavy or high-fat meal) and ensure you're staying well hydrated. If diarrhea continues or worsens, your doctor may recommend an alternative medication or adjust your dosage.
