Singapore Airlines' budget airline Scoot Airlines flies to and from Cairo International Airport (CAI) using Terminal 2. Scoot Airlines CAI Terminal, was opened in 1986 and has lately seen major upgrades, is mostly used by European, Gulf, and East Asian carriers. Cairo International Airport's status as a regional hub is strengthened with the addition of an air bridge that connects the renovated Terminal 2 to Terminal 3.
