A very popular method to get more range and coverage for an already established wireless network is setup of a repeater using the IP address 192.168.10.1. Make sure your WiFi repeater is powered on and connected to either a computer or mobile device before initiating the 192.168.10.1 wifi repeater setup. Entering the IP address 192.168.10.1 on the address bar of the browser is treated as the default gateway set for most WiFi repeaters. Generally, upon using the web-based system interface, you will be asked to provide your login information. Such data can sometimes be found inside the manual or printed on the very device. After signing in, you will be subjected to the repeater's setup wizard.
Proceed with the instructions on the screen to configure the WiFi repeater. Select your existing wireless network which needs to be extended, and provide the password for it. You might also be given an option to change the repeater's network name (SSID), security type, and choose a channel. After the setup, the WiFi repeater will join the current network and begin enhancing the wireless signals. Next, place the repeater in an area from where it can provide proper WiFi coverage.
