Zhewitra 20 mg (Vardenafil) can cause blurred vision as a possible side effect, although it is relatively uncommon. Zhewitra is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) by increasing blood flow to the penis. However, like other medications in the same class (PDE5 inhibitors), it can affect vision in some individuals.

How It Affects Vision:

Vardenafil works by inhibiting the enzyme PDE5, which plays a role in regulating blood flow. While this process primarily targets the genital area, PDE5 is also found in the retina of the eye. In rare cases, the use of PDE5 inhibitors like ZHEWITRA 20 MG can affect the eyes, leading to temporary vision changes such as:

Blurred vision

Sensitivity to light (photophobia)

Color vision changes (e.g., blue tint)

These side effects typically occur shortly after taking the medication and usually subside after a few hours.

When to Seek Medical Help:

If you experience persistent or severe visual disturbances after taking Zhewitra, or if you notice sudden vision loss in one or both eyes, it's important to seek medical attention immediately. These could be signs of more serious conditions, such as non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), which is a rare but serious side effect that can cause permanent vision loss.

Recommendations:

If blurred vision occurs and is mild or temporary, it’s usually not a cause for concern, but you should inform your healthcare provider.

Consult your doctor before using Zhewitra if you have a history of eye problems, particularly conditions like retinitis pigmentosa, which may increase the risk of vision-related side effects.

As always, follow the prescribed dosage and discuss any concerns with your healthcare provider.
