P Force is a combination medication primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It contains two active ingredients: Sildenafil (the same active ingredient found in Viagra) and Dapoxetine (used to treat premature ejaculation). While P Force is not specifically indicated for pulmonary hypertension, Sildenafil—one of its components—is used in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Sildenafil works by relaxing and dilating the blood vessels in the lungs, which reduces the high blood P force in the pulmonary arteries, helping improve blood flow and oxygenation. This action can benefit people with pulmonary hypertension by lowering the pressure in their lungs and improving their exercise capacity. However, P Force is not typically prescribed for PAH since it also contains Dapoxetine, which is meant for premature ejaculation. For PAH, a pure Sildenafil formulation (like Revatio) would be more appropriate. Always consult a healthcare provider for the best treatment option.
